L/v Crossband active?

Anybody have any luck activating the 1269.65 MHz uplink or hearing anything on 145.800 from the L/v crossband configuration mentioned in this earlier story? http://www.issfanclub.com/node/8047

If so, what did you use or hear?

ISS repeater active!

The ISS V/U crossband repeater is active, and works "only" with 67hz sub tone on
your 145.990Mhz (FM) uplink signal (otherwise no access!!!).
For the people who do not understand doppler search the ISS downlink signal between 437.809Mhz - 437.791Mhz (keep tuning with 5khz steps or less during the whole pass).
Check your transceiver manual how to make 5khz steps (or less).

New member. Q: Best frequency ?

Hi all,

I'm a new member, and viewed the frequency list, but
I wonder which is the "best" frequency ?
I mean, which frequency has the most voice traffic,
so that I have a good chance in hearing the ISS.

Thanks a lot,
best,
Hannes.

cross band repeater - other mode

Hello to all.

I keep reporting that the crossband repeat is on, and everyone says it isnt.
:)
I'm not making up stories!! hi hi

here is what i observed:

i uplinked on 145.85 with and without the 67Hz tone.
using 15watts into a quarter wave mounted on the vehicle.
The doppler effect was very evident, better audio without the 67Hz tone.

RX was on VX5 with factory antenna (holding at various angles) and rx on 437.805 - showing from s3 to s7 on the signal meter.

On high elevation (less distance to target) i could activate the repeater with 5watts.

I will try again on next pass here at ~0820hrs UTC (max elevation is 15deg for me)

HOWto. QSL for APRS contact?(Spanish).
