What is the best software to track the ISS..
I am hoping that it is free. I am trying to figure this out to help some young kids get interested in Ham Radio..
They all have PC's..
The first is a web based application, the satscape is a Java based download application, the last is also a web based program.
I used one,, then the next, then the next.
Has anyone recently been able to make use of the Repeater on the ISS?
I have tried using it several times, and have never been able to use it.. Just Curious.. I was thinking that maybe it does not stay on...
The Station usually passes overhead when they are long gone to bed.. I live in a mountain area, and have to wait until the elevation is around 70 degrees or better to have a good shot at it.. I am using a Handheld 5w radio with Arrow hand held beam antenna..
Also,, what is the best time to make an unscheduled contact with them?
What frequencies is the ISS using if they use voice?
My radio is a 2 m. For about 4 or 5 days I cannot hear ISS in 145.825. What is this all about?. Another frecuency or what. Info. Please. Thanks.
Some of the most intelligent people I have ever met are Radio Hams, thus I would like to throw this "out there", on this rarely used forum, to see if anyone can elaborate on this most interesting of stiuations..
If you have not heard of the Black Knight Satellite, then this will be of undeniable interest..
BLACK KNIGHT SATELLITE:
I notice that bookings are being taken for schools and museums for 2013 for US ONLY.
Is that fair?

The receiver is located in KN37cp, at the Astronomical Observatory - Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava, Romania.
