Unknown transmission on 145.800 nfm
I have always got my scanner running continually and recently I have been getting unknown transmission (music (classical), voice(unknown language), and bleeps (morse ?), all at the same time for a few seconds ocasionaly (145.800). Was wondering where these transmissions are coming from (I am in the UK but it certainly isn't being transmitted in English).

intermod
Sounds like your scanner is picking up some intermod. Any chance you live in a large metropolitan area?
Unknown transmission
Thanks, I live just outside a city (Sheffield UK) but have never had this happen before (been listening to the ISS since 2005).
There is a guy who lives nearby who has recently erected a couple of outdoor ariels on his roof (I don't know him so I don't know if he is transmitting or just listening in to stuff - might have to get to know him) never dawned on me that this could be the cause. Not an expert on this kind of thing, is it possible I am picking stuff up via his equipment ? My discone is sited outside on a high building with a clear W to E horizon (for the ISS) and his ariels are in line with it.

Thanks, I have checked the location of the ISS during these transmissions and the ISS is nowhere near my locations at these times (check out my previous reply, think I might have solved it).
