Recored Radio Contacts with the ISS

Sunita Williams contacts Women in Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology on 2012-07-23 at 13:27 UTC

Good to hear from a fresh voice on the ISS. Looks like Sunita could be doing alot of school contacts during her stay. This was NA1SS contacting W2RIT in Rochester, NY USA on 2012-07-23. My recording starts at 13:34 UTC and stops at 13:41 UTC. These are the questions she answered -

5. If the ISS is designed to be in permanent orbit, are there adjustments that are made to maintain orbit and how are they accomplished?
6. What do I need to study in school if I want to be an astronaut?
7. While you're in space do you have any peculiar content in your dreams?

Joe Acaba's failed attempt to contact KE4ZXW at the Virginia Air and Space Center on 2012-06-26 at 18:27 UT

I heard Joe give the call signs 3 times while he was within range, but that was it. Using my handheld scanner with a mobile 1/4 wave mag-mount antenna. I see in the ARISS report there was an unidentified problem.

Joe Acaba (NA1SS) Calling KE4ZXW Virginia Air & Space Center on 26 June 2012 at 1821 UTC

Joe Acaba (NA1SS) unsuccessfully calling KE4ZXW Virginia Air & Space Center for a school contact on 26 June 2012 at 1821 UTC. I am uploading this for N5VHO, KE4ZXW and others who might be trying to figure out what happened during this failed scheduled contact. Note that NA1SS was transmitting APRS packets in addition to the voice transmissions, and these are included in the recording.

Good luck troubleshooters!
